The primary goal of various departments at MEMS is to instill a sense of career awareness among the students, which would influence their overall personality traits positively. Expert talks are frequently organized to help students better understand the curriculum, motivate them and refine their attitudes. Some of the talks organized as part of Career Guidance include:
- Aspects of Indian Culture' by Dr Kiran Seth, Founder SPIC MACAY.
- 'Art of Living' by MrsSanghamitra Das, Rtd. Teacher, Zilla School, Balasore.
The Career Guidance cell is managed by dynamic faculties (Career Guidance & Scholarship Committee).They manage the cell on a rotation basis. The cell operates for 2 hours in the evening every day and is equipped with internet-connected personal computers. Students have full access to various career literature, including regular publications, books, newsletters, and journals. They also have dedicated internet facilities and regular discussions with career counselors.
Successes of the Career Guidance Cell include:
- Students securing PG/PhD seats in reputable universities outside India.
- Students achieving excellent scores in the GATE to secure seats in IITs.
- Students qualifying for PSU jobs, Government of India jobs, and performing well in Civil Service and Engineering Services Examinations.
- Students establishing their own entrepreneurship ventures.
