MEMS has implemented a peer-audit framework wherein it seeks the expertise of professors/senior faculty members from other institutes. They visit and inspect the laboratories, workshops, and libraries of the institute, and then suggest the following:
- Upgrades to laboratory and library facilities, if necessary.
- Upgrades to engineering automation and instruments, if necessary.
