At MEMS, we believe in participative discipline and control on campus. To facilitate this, we have created an interface between the student community and the college administration in the form of a student council.
Formation of Student Council:
The Student Council is formed annually by nominating student members from the B.Tech final year (5 students from each department). The student members are nominated by the Head of each department based on their career and discipline, leadership qualities, and positive attitude. Both male and female students are represented in the student council. As a council member, a special ID card is issued for recognition.
Purpose of Student Council:
- To ensure smooth administration and represent student grievances in meetings of the Student and Staff Welfare Committee.
- To address genuine student grievances at various levels.
- To maintain discipline during events like TechFest and functions (farewell and welcome events).
- To guide and support junior students at different levels.
- To implement the management's policies and intentions within the student committee.
